Program Eligibility and Admission Procedure

Program Eligibility

Students seeking admission to the Clinical Neuroengineering Training Program (CNTP) must first satisfy the following qualifications:

• US Citizenship or be a non-citizen national, or have been lawfully admitted for permanent residence
• Possess a baccalaureate degree as of beginning date of their appointment, and be training in a participating Ph.D. degree program at UW-Madison.

Admission Procedure

Students are admitted to the Clinical Neuroengineering Training Program through the following procedure:

• Gain admission to a participating department's doctoral program.
• You must be nominated to the CNTP by a major professor or major department. Prospective graduate students request consideration for the CNTP as part of their departmental application. Departments initiate nominations to the CNTP.
• Continuing UW graduate students must be nominated by their major professor/CNTP trainer.
• Major professors must be a trainer, or request trainer status.
• Nominations are solicited, reviewed, and awarded typically on an annual basis. Contact the Program Coordinator for further details.
